Včeraj se je z nastopi pred komisijo in ocenjevanjem rešitev za preprečevanje odseljevanja mladih ter oživitev za revitralizacijo podeželja in malih industrijskih mest zaključil tridnevni hackaton HeritageHack Periferija vabi, ki sta jo organizirala Zavod ID20 in Društvo Idrija 2020.
Več kot 30 mladih – udeležencev heckatona, ki je zaradi razmer v celoti potekal virtualno, se je po uvodni petkovi razpravi, ki je odprla številna vprašanja razvoja podeželja in manjših industrijskih mest in odseljevanja mladih, v soboto ob usmerjanju mentorjev lotilo iskanja rešitev za omenjena vprašanja. Te so morale biti inovativne, interdisciplinarne in povezane z novimi priložnostmi, ki jih prinašata tudi kulturna dediščina in trajnostni razvoj. Izseljevanje mladih je večji problem, kot se ga zavedamo, saj mladi iščejo nove življenjske priložnosti v večjih mestih in tudi v tujini. V občini Idrija se je v petih letih, od leta 2015 do 2020, število mladih zmanjšalo za več kot 12%. Tega vprašanja pa se je potrebno lotiti celostno, kot poudarja Drejc Kokošar, soorganizator dogodka.
Včeraj so udeleženci hackatona svoje rešitve predstavili pred strokovno komisijo. Najboljšo rešitev za razvoj slovenske "periferije" so po mnenju ocenjevalne komisije oblikovali člani Prostorske sekcije Kluba škofjeloških študentov, ki so predstavili rešitev HeritageBox in za prvo mesto prejeli nagrado 500 evrov. Na drugo mesto se je uvrstila ekipa Castra, na tretje pa FormaViva.
